Description
Photograph of a lone tree casting a strong shadow in the freshly fallen snow.
Once upon a time, there was a lone tree standing in the middle of a vast snowy field. The tree was tall and proud, its branches reaching up towards the sky, as if beckoning the clouds to come closer. But on this day, the clouds were nowhere to be seen, and the tree was cast in the pale light of a winter sun.
As the day wore on, the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the snow. The lone tree was no exception, and its shadow stretched out across the field, reaching towards the distant horizon.
It was a stunning sight, and a passing photographer couldn't resist the urge to capture the moment. He carefully set up his camera, framing the shot to include both the tree and its long, dark shadow.
As he snapped the photograph, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer power of the image. The lone tree, standing tall and proud against the stark white snow, with its shadow stretching out across the land like a dark and mysterious force.
Over the following days, the photograph began to spread, capturing the attention of people from all over the world. Some saw it as a symbol of strength and resilience, while others were drawn to the darkness and mystery of the lone tree's shadow.
As the years went by, the tree continued to stand, its shadow casting a strong and steady presence across the snow. And though the photographer who captured the image was long gone, his legacy remained, a testament to the beauty and power of the natural world.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
